WHO: Kain, David
WHAT: Kain's tries to fix things
WHERE: David's workshop
WHEN: late afternoon
RATING: TBA
Kain nervously made his way down to David's workshop. They hadn't spoken in nearly a week. Five days to be exact. He needed to know where the stood. On his way down there, he battled with deciding whether to tell David or not that he had another visit from the warden.
He reached the closed door of david's workshop and, instead of going in like he usually did, he knocked softly and waited for a response. Hopefully he was in there and would answer. "David?" He said through the door quietly, thinking it might be a good indea to let him know who was at the door before opening it.

Date: 2007-09-29 12:59 pm (UTC)Even though the door was open, Kain didn't move from where he was. The way David had greeted him slashed his heart. Kain blinked a few tears away and took a deep breath, "Do you have a moment to talk?"
David gave a nod, "Yeah, no problem" he said softly. He pulled the towel off his head, and let the man in, closing the door behind them. He went to turn the water off "Thought you were someone coming to yell at me for the repel hooks in the ceiling" he said as he hung the towel up. There was still paint on his arms, and some on his chest - how it got there was anyone's guess. He offered the man a seat on the only other piece of furniture besides the bed - a soft old leather couch. he sat on the table, propping against the side. "Talk about what?"
Kain's eyes welled up again. He looked away and once again blinked the tears away. Looking back he said, "David, we haven't spoken in five days. I need to know where we stand. Are we still together or not? If not I can completely understand and you have every right to end it, but.... I need to know."
David sighed heavily. He knew this was coming. He just hadn't known when. Perhaps ... it was one of those times to simply ... speak. "K ... Nato ..." he started slowly "Before I knew you ... I had never had a true ... relationship with anyone. The occasional bar fly ... the stripper that needed a place to sleep. Never someone I ... truly cared for. What ... I ..." he cleared his throat, and covered his face for a moment. "I could make myself forget the fact, that in that office, in that room. Hell even in the bedroom beyond that ... That's business. That I can't control and I have no right. " He said simply, shaking his head as a tear fell wanton down his cheek, "But for gods sake ... out in public ... I want you to be mine ... not to be laughed at or felt sorry for when I go to a store to get a pack of smokes. Not to be the laughing stock of anyone that knows about us. " more tears fell as she chook his head hard, swallowing.
Oh no, David was crying. David wasn't supposed to cry. Kain moved over to David and wipped at David's tears with his thumb. His own tears fell, "Don't cry." He said in a hoarse whisper, "If you cry, then I'll cry." He paused, blinking at tears but only causing them to fall more, "I want to be yours. And you're right. I screwed up. Big time." He shook his head, "I know I'll probably have to gain back your trust. And I'm willing to do anything for it." He paused. He knew he had to tell him. "But before you make any decisions, I.... ummmm....." He sighed, "The warden came to see me again," More tears. "I tried to turn him down, but..... I couldn't." He felt horrible and wanted to explain, but was afraid David would think he was trying to justify things again.
David balled his hands into fists, so hard that one could smell the copper of blood as his nails dug into his skin. It made him give a dry heave of a sob, pulling himself away from those hands. he brought his hands up to his face breathing in hard. His hands shook. His entire body trembled as he struggled to contain himself. To keep himself calm. He slammed his fist into the table, letting out a desperate short wail, trying to compose himself. "how many more times ... will he have you before you really are his ... " he said softly, the words coming out hoarse and forced out by his hard breath.

Date: 2007-09-29 01:00 pm (UTC)David looked at him, and sighed heavily. It was obvious it took everything in his power to keep calm. Especially when he heard the last part. "He can't control you ... he isn't bulletproof" he said in a ... strange kind of militaristic voice. For a moment his body seemed to go cold, until he shook it off. No ... he wasn't that killer anymore ... even though he could sense the .45 Revolver under the bed in it's case. The one he cleaned every week. The one he had a belt of bullets for. he sighed. "I wouldn't have said it back had I not been willing to do whatever it took to keep you. just ... just please ... promise me for gods sake ... keep it off the streets. I could care less about what these inmates think. But I don't want to be a poriah there too ..."
Kain wrapped his arms around David's waist and rest his cheek on his back, "I've suddenly come to hate my job. Knowing that I'm hurting you whenever I have a client. David please don't think that none of this bothers me or that I don't care. Because I do. I have very few regrets but I am so sorry I hurt you."
"your job is just that. A job. You help the inmates. I fix what they break. We all have the things we must do. That part ... I can forget. I can pass it off I don't have to hear about it from anyone. In that room you're a therapist. On the surface though is a different story. And if Mutuo is going to be a problem. i'd much rather lose my job then you lose yours. Because I'll be goddamned if I need this job." he said with a laugh. "They only put me here because it would be blasphemy to send a military killer to anywhere else but here or Elmondorf ... and Elmondorf didn't want me. If I decided I didn't want ot be here there isn't a damned thing they could do to me ..." perhaps he would confuse Kain enough to not ask any more into the idea of why he was stuck in a prison anyway
Kain nuzzled further into David's warm back, inhaling his scent. He didn't care why David was here, just that he was. "I love you so much, David." He said with a slight squeeze. His eyes glazed over with tears again.
David turned, and patted the other man's head. "Shhh ... I love you too ... you just gotta use your head more Nato .... "
Kain nodded, but didn't say anything. He didn't trust his voice to speak. He nuzzled David's chest now. He was glad to be back in David's arms. It had been a long five days.
David gently rubbed his back, and laid his head atop the other man's. he closed his eyes for a moment.
KAin looke dup at David and wrapped his arms losely around his neck, leaning up for a kiss. It was sweet and tender at first but then grew more passionate with need.
David kissed him, and let his hands rest on the other's back, as he felt the kiss deepening more and more.
Kain let his tongue slid into David's mouth, tasting him and the distinct taste of cigarettes on his breath. But Kain wasn't complaining, he liked it. After all, he smoked himself. He brought his hands up and tangled them in the back of his damp hair, massaging his scalp.
David groaned, and closed his eyes, before breaking the kiss, tilting his head. "Nato ... there's nowhere comfortable in here .... you'll get splinters in you ...." he said with a small laugh.
Kain looked confused for a moment and quickly realized. He hadn't even thought of doing that. He was just happy to be kissing his boyfriend again. "Oh. Ummm, well..... We could go back to my office or.... my place?" he suggested.
