Who: Seifer and Zell
When: 2030
Where: Showers - Level 3
What: Seifer and Zell hit the showers to smoke out 5 rats
Rating: R for sexual innuendo and violence

After patching Squall up to the best of his ability, Zel still wasn’t sure what the brunette thought of him. He was pretty damn good when it came to certain things, like the first aid and noticing the bruises and asking certain questions. That all coincided with fighting, however, which he knew how to do pretty well. He was a little oblivious, a bit dense, and sometimes he was too damned easy going for his own good about everything, but he wasn’t a complete idiot. Still, he couldn’t figure out if he had made the other feel uneasy or not. He’d just have to acclimate Squall to his kind of personality…or Zell supposed. In any case the day kind of passed like that with Zell running errands to keep himself busy, and bringing back the kind of food that didn’t require forks and knives because they weren’t allowed out of the cafeteria. He didn’t know if Squall would eat, but he knew Seifer had to if he was going to be up for fighting later…and fighting on an empty stomach was no fun at all, energy was necessary.

When Squall nodded off Zell talked to the scarred blonde about what they would do, though Zell really didn’t know what Seifer’s plan of attack would be, the other seemed vague on the particulars. Zell was happy to decoy himself though and even more so to get a chance to pop a couple of these guys right between the eyes and maybe he'd give them each a nice solid and fatal kick in the place of good and evil. Turn Mr. Daylight into Mr. Midnight, that would be nice retribution and they’d never attack another guy in the shower again. Yup. To Zell that idea sounded real gravy.

Later that evening, after Zell finished dinner he went to his cell and brushed his teeth there. If he went walking into the showers with Seifer already there he doubted sincerely that anyone would approach him. Since dinner came around he avoided the other blonde and he arrived in the showers by himself carrying the usual burdens in his arms. He had to think about what he was going to do, Zell had no idea what the hell it meant to be sexy…did it mean one walked a sexy way or wore clothes in a sexy way…and sensuality had never been his greatest strength…well not wittingly anyway. Sensual for Zell was stuffing any number of hotdogs in his mouth at once and not choking to death. That was the extent of it as far as he knew, but he was also a rather imaginative guy so he could probably carry it off if he thought it through for a moment.

He set himself up for the shower just so, knowing that Seifer would probably be coming along very soon to put on his act as well. Zell placed the bottle of shampoo on the floor, nice little detail that, and he brought along his little headset though he turned the volume in one ear off so he wouldn’t be completely off guard. Music was a soothing balm; it would loosen him up enough to be able to do this…silly act. Normally Zell didn’t have a problem with embarrassment really, but…well this was different; this wasn’t the goofy kind of embarrassment. Zell told himself, though, he was a man and he would keep his word…and the best part would be ramming his fist in someone’s face so it would be worth the trouble.

Speaking f trouble, he wasn’t sure how much they would get into for fighting in the showers. After all he and Seifer had already been docked for the food fight the day before, but what the hell were the going to do take their birthdays away? Zell remembered the whole solitary thing though and that idea didn’t sound appealing, but if the shit did hit the fan Zell could take the blame because Squall would need someone to look after him in the event of a solitary punishment. Neither one knew what would happen though, they were simply playing this whole thing by ear and it would be worth it if nobody else got hurt in the process

With a knife sticking out of him he probably did look pretty dead. Thankfully those morons had good aiming or they could've severed a nerve in his spine and then he really would be dead. But he wasn't, he was just in pain and unable to move his shoulder. Seifer felt like knocking his head against the floor. How could he have let it get out of control like this? He'd planned it all out, but when he saw Zell being manhandled he sort of snapped and forgot all about plans. He gritted his teeth and was about to snap at Zell to take the damn knife out but... he didn't. What did he just say?

Zell would kill him for real if he thought Seifer was faking just to make him said. The guy wasn't the most observant of people so the blush that had sprung on Seifer's face probably didn't take any notice. Seifer gave a grunt of pain (involuntarily) and he cracked an eye open. Hoping Zell wouldn't decide to kill him for real, Seifer reached up with his uninjured hand and gently touched the tears. He didn't feel like wearing a smug grin or saying something cocky. It didn't seem like the right time for that. Seifer licked his lips a little. If Zell wanted him to say it, then... all right.

"Don't break your ass, Birdie," he said softly. Seifer moved his arm and clung onto Zell as best he could with only one arm around the other blonde. "Don't cry, babe, I didn't mean to upset you." He waited, expecting Zell to throttle him or something. He hadn't meant to, honestly. But attempted murder in a prison would not bode well for those hairy losers, so hopefully it was worth whatever verbal beating he'd get.

Seifer at least had the tact to not burst out laughing at Zell's flustering. He did smile, but it wasn't in a mocking sort of way. The smile was more because he felt really happy even with Zell being upset with him. He really wished he had the use of both arms so he could hug the smaller blonde properly. He just smiled even through the harmless punch. "Mmh, if you wanna punish me... I'd be okay with that," he answered lazily. He probably deserved it, fooling Zell like that and overhearing a confession the tattooed blonde hadn't expected to be heard. He was perfectly able to sit up without help but he found it rather nice to lean some of his bodyweight onto Zell.

He let out a soft noise. He felt that Zell finally notice the blade stuck in him. Seifer didn't have anything to bite into except his own lip. He just took a deep breath and waited, clinging a bit tight to Zell with his good hand. He muffled his cry of pain as much as he could and his arm gave a jerk. His whole arm felt on fire and the idea of moving it didn't appeal to him at the moment. But really, it wasn't as bad as getting slashed across the face or-- "Your hand," Seifer said, suddenly noticing Zell's wounds. "You need to get to the infirmary, babe." They both needed to, but Zell's need was definitely greater than his. "C'mon, get dressed and I'll walk you there." He wasn't intending on letting Zell out of his sight right after that mess. Seifer had witnessed for himself that Zell was a fighter but still... Seifer wanted to look after him.

This time he really did give his loud laugh, letting the sound echo through the showers and lighten the mood considerably. That was probably what he liked best about Zell: his ability to make Seifer honestly laugh, not just the mocking kind of laugh. It was especially a good thing when Zell was being funny on purpose. The guy had a really good sense of humor. Seifer was getting curious about what Zell would consider to be "punishment". Something to look forward to while they patched up in the infirmary.

"Poor hand's had a rough time of it," he said sympathetically. He would've liked to kiss it, but it would hurt Zell more than help him, so he carefully kissed the fingers instead. Yes, he agreed it was much better than any extra holes being added to Zell's face. Seifer liked his face just the way it was. "Ugh," Seifer cringed, wrinkling his nose. "I hope not. I don't want anything on my pretty little bird. I might have to give you a scrub-down just to make sure." He was kidding, of course, but giving Zell a sponge bath was not such a bad idea. Seifer moved and tried to discreetly pick up a knife without the medics noticing. Naturally, he and Zell were told to get to the infirmary. Not such a bad idea, since they would both probably pass out from the blood loss if they didn't hurry up.

Seifer wouldn't say or do anything in front of those medics, so he guided Zell along out of the showers and down in the direction of the infirmary. He stopped when they were a safe distance from the medics. "One thing before I forget, okay?" He swooped down unexpectedly and pressed a kiss on Zell's lips. His hand had to tilt back Zell's head a little to make up for their height difference. He pulled back, that cocky smirk resurfacing on his lips. "Better," he purred. As if kissing Zell made up for the mess they made and the pain in their bodies. Which... it kind of did.

Wasn't Zell cute, blushing like that over a little kiss to the fingers? Seifer seemed to think so. He made a mental note of it to use later in a better setting than the two of them bleeding and on their way to the infirmary. They could have a little private celebration when they were released. Seifer grinned to himself thinking about it. It was good to have something to look forward to, because Seifer really hated doctors. It wasn't a specific fear of needles or anything like that. He just hated them in general. They made him uncomfortable, and the last time he'd been in a hospital hadn't been pleasant.

At least Zell was around to keep Seifer amused. Even though he didn't like his blonde bird being in pain, they would at least get to hang out in the infirmary together. Seifer did a pretty decent imitation of a tiger growl. "Is that your new nickname for me, Birdie?" he teased. "I like it." Him a tiger and Zell a bird... Yeah, that was a very interesting image. Which again was good because he was about to face a doctor. Seifer gulped nervously as he was forced away from Zell for an individual examination. They didn't tell him anything he didn't already know. Stab wounds to the shoulder, muscle damage, blah blah blah. Even though Zell acted like a little kid he was a helpful distraction for Seifer.

"Hey, Birdie." Seifer poked his head in to check up on Zell. "Promise not to tell, but I can't stand these places. They make me really uncomfortable. So... would you mind staying here with me? Doc says I gotta stay here. They wanna make sure the nerve damage isn't permanent or something." That was somewhat true, but he had also heard that Zell had to stay the night so he had asked to be allowed to stay as well. But he wasn't going to tell Zell that!
