Who: Sen & Mutou
When: Morning
Where: Warden's Office
What: Meeting about work
Rating: G
Sen ran a hand through dark locks, letting out a soft sigh. He'd received clearance to visit with the new warden and was now making his way to the office on Level 2, escorted by an armed guard.
He'd previously been working as a secretary for the last warden - the work wasn't hard - filing, letter writing, making tea and coffee - but Sen enjoyed it more than most of the jobs on Level 3. He wasn't sure whether the position would still be open to him now the new warden had taken over.
He smoothed down his tshirt as he stood outside the office door, feeling a little nervous. He didn't know much about this new warden Travis Mutou apart from the few things he'd told them on his arrival.

Behind his wire-rimmed glasses, assessing dark eyes took the immediate measure of the young man who stepped inside. Nervous, wary, but proud. Travis liked the combination very much. The proud ones were always the most fun.
He'd taken note of this one immediately upon arrival, Owari Sen. Of course he'd noticed him, Sen wasn't just beautiful, he was also the only other Japanese in the prison. And Travis made it a point to always take note of such things.
"Owari Sen. Come, sit down." He smiled benevolently and gestured to the chair in front of his large desk.

"... Warden Mutou..." He murmured, addressing the other male.

"What can I do for you, Sen? You requested to meet with me, I'm assuming regarding your position with the previous warden?"
His voice was friendly, genial. The last thing he wanted was to alienate the boy. Not yet,not unless he had to. He much preferred to get what he wanted without force if at all possible. Of course, pretty though Sen was, it wasn't just him Travis was after. But he could very well be the key to everything else, if the cards were played just so.
Travis was very good at playing cards just so.

I know there is no reason why I should get to work on Level 2 while the other prisoners work on Level 3 ... but I really enjoyed the work."
Of course Sword would probably glad if Sen didn't get to carry on working up on Level 2, so he could keep him in his sights more often, but Sen really, really wanted to carry on working as a secretary.

Date: 2007-04-12 12:18 am (UTC)"Warden Mitchell had wonderful things to say about you. Let's see, 'hardworking, honest, prompt...' etc etc. I see no reason why you shouldn't continue in the same position, I have no desire to chance my luck with another prisoner."
He set the paper aside, making sure Sen couldn't see that it was nothing but an invoice for printer ink, and folded his hands on the desk. "The position is yours, of course. I wager I'm going to need someone trustworthy while I get my feet wet here at UGH. A right-hand man, if you will."
Right-hand, left-hand, naked underneath him if Travis had his way. But he kept those thoughts out of his expression, giving the young man a friendly smile. "You'll find I'm not a hard man to please, Sen."

A faint blush crept into his cheeks and he quickly turned his gaze away when he realised he sounded like a thirteen year old boy being given his first newspaper round, rather than the twenty three year old murderer he was.
"Should I start tomorrow?" He asked cheerfully, his whole body language becoming more relaxed.

Date: 2007-04-12 04:54 am (UTC)He rose and came around the desk, leaning against the opposite edge in front of Sen and held out a hand to him. "As for letting me down...I'm sure you won't." Quite the opposite, in fact, Travis was sure Sen was exactly what he was looking for.

Date: 2007-04-12 09:21 am (UTC)He flushed after a long moment, realising he still had hold of the gentleman's hand. He let go of Mutou's hand almost instantly, taking a slight step back, carefully avoiding tripping over the chair.

Date: 2007-04-13 01:30 pm (UTC)His eyes narrowed as the door swung shut behind the young man, dropping the too-friendly facade and rubbing a hand on his chin. Well, that was easier than he'd thought. The boy had come to him, all but handed himself over on a silver platter and thanked Travis for it. He couldn't have planned it better himself.
The Warden came around the desk to settle back in his chair, reaching for one of the files and flipping it open. Swordfish. Travis snorted derisively and tossed the file back on his desk. He'd have to deal with the shut-call eventually, but for the moment he thought he'd see just how far he could get with Sen on his own.
And then...well, then dear little oblivious Owari Sen might just lead Travis to the promised land. With a Swordfish in tow.
