(no subject)

Who: Sen, Norman and a couple of NPC guys
When: Recreational Period
Where: Laundry Room
What: Sen teaches a couple of his men a lesson
Rating: NC-17

As a general rule Sen wasn't a violent person. He had it in his being to be as violent as the best of them, but usually chose to handle things in a different way. However, when people were harming people in such a disturbed way and using his name and position to justify it, then something needed to be done.

It was bad enough that these guys - Morton and Franks had raped Kuja and put him into a dryer - Sen knew from past experiences that it was not fun in the least, but to be put in a WORKING dryer?! That just took things to a whole new level of fucked up.

He sat on the dryer, eating an apple waiting for his partner in crime. He didn't really want to drag Norman into this mess incase it back-fired. But he was more than glad to have the man on his side.

He smiled softly. The praise was definitely appreciated. Especially coming from Sen. "Thank you, Sen," he murmured softly, pressing his lips against his lover's to show his appreciation.

He too wished they could stay here forever, but that wasn't going to happen. So, sighing unhappily, Norman extracted himself from Sen's arms to wash himself properly. "Yeah. I guess I can't hog the shut-call forever," he sighed.

His heart gave a happy little beat when Sen kissed the spot. He grinned, but the smile faded just a little. Best friend..? That wasn't what he wanted to hear after amazing sex. But Norman put on his best smile anyway.

Norman cleaned himself up and turned off the water, moving to grab a towel from Sen. "And you look gorgeous," he returned. "Reminds me of the first time we were together. We were in the showers that time, and we were trying to recreate a scene from my book." He smiled fondly at the memory. "And look at us now. Best friends and partners."

"I...." Norman knew exactly what had happened to that story. He avoided Sen's gaze as he toweled himself dry. "I gave up on it," he said flatly. "I tore it up and threw it away." He left the subject at that.

"I'm glad to have you too, Sen," he responded quietly, picking up their clothes and handing Sen's over to him. "You will always have me to count on no matter what. That's a promise. And.... I'm hoping I can always count on you."

Shit. His new novel. He'd totally forgotten that he told Sen about it. There was no way Norman could let him read that; it was yet another story focusing on Norman and Sen's relationship. Only with this one, Norman had taken creative lisencing so there was no Sword to get in their way.

"I, ah... I haven't finished it yet," Norman said, which was the truth. He got on his clothes, blushing softly. "I haven't figured out how I want to end it yet. Right now it could go either way."

Norman couldn't think of anything to say. Idiot, the manuscript was right there on the desk in their cell! All of it mostly typed except for the ending, which he was working out by hand. Norman wanted his story to end happily but he couldn't see that happening as long as Sword was in the picture. He heaved a sigh and squeezed Sen's hand in his own. It felt strangely comfortable to walk hand-in-hand with Sen.

"I guess I could let you read it," he said with a nod. "You may be able to help me come up with an ending." His stomach twisted nervously but... well, he allowed Sen to read that other story, so he might as well let his friend read this one too.

He smiled modestly. Sen was always so encouraging of his work, and that was part of the reason he kept trying. He doubted his books would ever be published but he still enjoyed the one-man fanclub he had. Norman definitely had a good imagination; right now he was imagining they were strolling through the park at night with linked hands, rather than in prison on their way to their shared cell.

Smiling, Norman pulled Sen into the cell, kissing the other man's hand. "I can't disappoint my number one fan. You're free to read my story whenever you want."

Norman smiled faintly but didn't say anything. He seriously doubted any publisher would take an amateur locked in prison seriously. Even if they did, what good would that do him? Still... he could give it a try. If nothing else, it would please Sen.

"Ah..." Sen wanted him to read some? Norman blushed and took the manuscript in his hands. He had named the characters Nyle and Sean, but the whole thing was just too obvious. Norman cleared his throat and picked his favorite scene so far. Nyle and Sean were in bed together; Sean had fallen asleep after the two had sex and Nyle was watching his lover. Norman described the moment in rich detail and though it seemed like such a small thing, it was a very tender moment.

"The cold prison air tried to reach them, but it could not enclose them. They had created their own world, and for the few moments they stole lying in love together, they could believe that they were free. Nyle held onto that world even as he closed his eyes and fell asleep, soothed by the warmth of his lover's body."

He loved this, the closeness they shared together. It made him feel so warm inside. It was comforting like being with a friend while at the same time intimate like being with a lover. Sen always managed to be both at once in Norman's mind.

"It is real," Norman said quietly. "I mean, it's supposed to be that way. I try to make the stories feel realistic so the reader can lose themselves in it. I... I actually dedicated this story to you, Sen." He blushed and flipped to the very first page. To my best friend, Sen it read. Thank you for all of your support.

Well, Norman was just putting the truth down in words. Sen was his best friend and he had supported Norman's writing more than anyone else bothered to. So of course Norman would give him thanks for it.

Norman put the manuscript aside to give Sen a brief hug. "I'm glad I can count on you. C'mon, shouldn't the shut-call get some sleep?" he smiled playfully. "As your right-hand man, it's my job to make sure you're well-rested."

He loved sharing a bed with Sen. That passage he just read out loud had actually been real. Norman liked waching Sen sleep, liked being lulled to sleep by the other man's steady breathing and warm body.

"Night, Sen," he returned, smiling. He put his own arm around the other man's waist so they would be holding each other as they slept.
