Sen hoped Sword had got his message. It was hard to get messages to the other with so many watching over their every move like hawks. He sat in Kain's office, tapping a pen against the desk nervously.

He knew that Sword wouldn't be happy with recent events, but he truly thought he was doing the right thing.

Sen continued to kiss the back of Sword's neck, moving the man's dreadlocks out the way to better kiss the flesh. He reached over taking a wash cloth and soap, strating to wash Sword's back tenderly.

"The water feels so good, hmmm?" He murmured against Sword's skin. "Bet you never thought you'd see a bath tub again!"

Sword chuckled softly and shook his head, "You got that right." He let out a contented sigh, "Sen..." He paused, "I'm going to ask you to do something for me. And it's very hard for me to ask this of you."

He trailed his kisses aling Sword's shoulder, before laying his head then, smiling soft, arms snaking around Sword's waist. "Hmm, what is it Sword?"

Sword sighed slightly, trying to figure out how to voice what was in his head, "Just for now. Just for this moment, I.... I need you to just be the strong one." He sighed, "All I want to do right now is just lose myself in you and not have to be the strong and dominant one."

He chuckled soft. He knew how hard that must have been for Sword to say, and didn't want to make the man feel weaker by acting all drastic. "Hmmm, is that all? And here I was thinking you'd ask me to do something terrible."

He continued to wash Sword tenderly, trailing kisses over the washed skin. "You don't have to be dominant, just do what feels natural Sword." He wrapped his arms around the man, holding him close. "I love you."

Sword squeezed one of Sen's forearms lovingly, "I love you too. More than I'm willing to admit. And it's scars me." Sword looked sadly down at the water.

Sen nuzzled his cheek against Sword's, drawing lazy circles on the man's stomach, carefully avoiding the injury. He let out a soft sound of contentment. "Love doesn't have to be a weakness, you know?"

He smiled soft. "One day, we'll escape and find a safe haven up there under the sun."

Sword shook his head, "That's not what I meant. It's just after the whole thing that happened with Monica and the whole 'love is an illusion' thing here. It's just hard for me. It might be hard for you to believe but I'm afraid of getting hurt. If you ever betrayed me..." He shook his head, "I'm afraid of what I might do."

He held onto Sword tighter, kissing his neck a little less tenderly and a little more needily. "Sword... I don't plan to ever betray you, I'm in love with you, that's not going to change any time soon."

He nipped below Sword's ear lightly. "Let's prove that love isn't an illusion!"

Sword craned his neck to look at Sen, "How?"

"By trusting in each other and standing united, that's how." He said softly. "Perhaps we've been going about this all wrong... Perhaps rather than splitting up, we need to show everyone how strong we are together."

He stole a soft kiss. "And I know you won't like the idea, but... we should work alongside Norman too. We can trust him, I know we can."

Sword scoffed, "Maybe you can trust him. But I can't. I'm the one who broke his heart remember? And besides how do you think he's going to react when he finds out that this whole time you've been working against him and we never really broke up?"

He ran a hand lovingly up Sword's spine. "Then perhaps it's time you put things right." He trailed a kiss along Sword's shoulder, biting lightly. "He'll be okay, I think, I mean, I think he already has his suspicions... and he said something to me when we were on his bunk, that makes me think everything will be just fine."

Sword was silent for a moment. Did he really want to know what had been said?

"What did he say?" He finally asked after a long moment.

Sen frowned, after all, Norman had told him what he had as a secret. "I... can't. He told me in confidence... Just, trust my judgement on this, okay?"

Sword frowned. He didn't like it when Sen didn't tell him something. Especially when it involved Norman.

He sighed, "I have no reason to trust Norman. And I doubt I ever will."

"Then trust me? Just this once, that's all I'm asking." He kissed Sword's shoulder once more, shifting closer to the man. "I'll tell him the truth... If he still sticks by me... will you give him a chance?"

Sword sighed, thinking this over. What had he really had to lose?

"Fine. But this is the first and last time if it comes back to bite me in the ass. You got that?"

Sen couldn't help but smile brightly, placing a kiss on Sword's neck. "Thank you."

He wrapped his arms around Sword, nuzzling against him. "Sword... If... you're not in too much pain... could we... you know... move to the bed after this? I've missed your touch."
