Who:  Laguna, and hopefully Norman <3
When: Morning
Where: their cell
What: meeting the father of the ex.
Rating: pending

Laguna was curious about his cell mate really. He sat on the bottom trunk for now, hoping that that was not the bunk of the other inmate. He was wearing the t-shirt and prison pants, the white fabric hugging his torso in all the right places. Laguna basically looked like an older, greeneyed version of Squall, with just the long dark brown hair streaked with specks of silver from age, a few wrinkles in the corner of his eye. But he did more look like he was 30, then 44. But instead of the half gloom of Squall, this man shone energy and happyness, a smile always seeming to play at his lips. He was qute short, barly 2 cm taller then his son, Squall. The President of Malta, not a political prisoned was restless. Bit scared to meet this 'Norman' and bit excited. He did hope he was kinder then the men in the cafiteria who had cept giving him lustfull looks and touches. The 'hetro' man was a bit shocked by this. And it did make him doubt himself a bit. He shook his head to rid of such thought.

Norman was really looking forward to being back in his cell. After spending way too much time cramped up in the villa, he was eager to stretch out. And the best part was he had the whole place to himself.

Or, well, he thought he did.

He walked in and froze seeing the older man. "Oh," he said awkwardly. "I wasn't expecting... you must be my new cell mate."

"Really." Norman stared at the man skeptically. This guy looked a little like Squall but that's where the resemblance ended. But then, Norman wasn't very much like his father either. So he shrugged his shoulders and shook the older man's hand.

"Pleasure to meet you, Laguna."

"..Right." Norman smiled faintly. He had no idea what he was going to do with such a bouncy cell mate. Something about the older man's enthusiasm just didn't seem natural. Maybe because no one should be that bright and cheerful when they were locked up in prison. Still, Norman had to admit it was a refreshing change.

"I've been here for a while," he mentioned. "So if you need anything just ask, 'kay?"

Norman tilted his head a little, amused at the older man's behavior. If he didn't know any better he'd think Laguna was some shy kid or something.

"Hmm. Yeah, you are," Norman agreed. "You need protection, and the main place to get that is from another inmate. If guys think you're already with someone, they don't bother you as much. The appeal of the new inmates is 'fresh blood' so I'd suggest making them think someone already has a claim on you."

Norman actually laughed out loud this time. Seriously, this guy was incredibly adorable. He had the strangest impulse to give Laguna a hug. "Either you have someone to protect you or you protect yourself," he said with a shrug. "Just don't ask the shut-call Swordfish to protect you. Trust me, it doesn't end well."

"I wouldn't let on that you're a president," Norman mentioned, watching the older man pace. "It'd probably be a lot worse for you if the inmates knew you used to be an authority figure." As to Laguna's dilemma of rape avoidance, Norman was out of ideas.

"I'll do what I can to help but I'd have to follow you around a lot."

"Yehhh..." Norman was sure this guy had no idea what he was talking about. But he found himself reluctant to explain why this was a very bad idea. "I... guess so."

"Nothing." He tried to match the older man's smile. "I'll take care of it. Just be sure to tell me when you're wanting to take a shower; that's a prime place to be raped, and you don't want to go in there alone."

"Yeah. Probably a good idea." He paused, and thought he might as well share all the bad news right away. "It's a community shower, so for your first trip we should go at a time when there are fewer guys around. And I only say 'we' so I can watch your back. I'm not going to do anything."

"Morning's fine," Norman assured him with a nod. "I'd go with as early as you can, though. Any inmates that are using it will be too tired to fuck. I usually try to get in early too so it'll work out."

"I'd never do that," Norman assured him gently. "I'm a writer too, after all, and I know I would go crazy if any of it was messed up." Speaking of Norman's writing, his work was scattered throughout the cell. He turned to clean it out of Laguna's way.

"What sort of writing are you into?" he asked as he sorted his papers.

"Novels," Norman answered vaguley. He didn't really care if most people knew what he wrote, but Laguna was a dad. Despite how youthfully energetic he acted he was still a dad, and admitting he wrote sex scenes to a dad was just a little uncomfortable for Norman.

"Romance." He busied himself with putting his papers away now. He had a filing system where the unfinished novels went in one area and the finished novels went in another. Looking at the pile, Norman let out a sigh realizing he had a lot of unfinished novels.

"I don't know if you'd like it, though," he added. "It's... you know. Gay romance."

"Not at all, trust me." Norman waved the older man off casually. He was pretty sure he wouldn't feel comfortable letting Laguna read any of his novels, anyway. "I have plenty of faithful readers." If by plenty he meant Sen and Squall.

"I'll read it," Norman offered. "Anything to help support a fellow writer."

"Sure," Norman coughed, a little embarrassed at the embrace. "No problem."

"You too, Laguna." He smiled, patting the older man on the shoulder a little. Once he got used to this guy Norman had a feeling he would be a fun cell mate.

"Bottom's fine. It doesn't matter to me either way." A bed was a bed, after all. He was just glad for the chance to stretch out again.
