Who: Sky and Lucas
Where: Infirmary and their cell
When: Morning
What: Lucas comes to fetch Sky
Rating: None

Lucas made his way towards the Infirmary, he just couldn't wait to get Sky back into his sights so he could look after him.

Sky was sat on his bed in the infirmary. His journal was open and he was writing with his unharmed left hand. He was grateful Isaack hadn't broken his left. He scribbled down messy words, a story he was working on.

Lucas came over to Sky's bed, pressing a kiss to his head. "Hey stranger."

He shrank away from Lucas, closing the journal. "Hello." His word was stiff and cold, despite how he blushed.

"How's my little soldier holding up? Feeling any better?" Lucas asked, reaching out to touch Sky's hair.

"St... stop it." He said, frowning under his hair. He hugged his journal with his good arm.

Lucas sighed. "I won't let you distance yourself from me, Sky."

"I am an adult, I've made a decision. Respect it." He frowned more, paying way too much attention to his journal's spine.

Lucas frowned. "Sky... Don't push me away..."

"I... nn... it's the best... thing to do to protect... you." He hung his head, refusing to look at the man he loved.

"I don't need protecting, Sky. I've seen more violence than most, I've inflicted pain and suffering on people. I can stand on my own two feet, and I want to be near you."

"Well I want to protect you from me so please just respect the decision I've made!" He snapped, tucking his knees against his chest.

Lucas turned away. "Fine. If that's what you want, Sky. But i hope you realise pushing me away is hurting far more than any physical pain ever could..."

Sky whimpered slightly. "I... just want you... safe. If you're with me, he'll come after you... I don't..." He groaned slightly, unable to think of the right words. "I just love you too much..." he mumbled in French.

Lucas frowned and looked at Sky. "French again... Always French... I need a translator..." He sighed, folding his arms across his chest. "I would sooner that creep broke every bone in my body than have to spend a day without you."

"I'm sorry! I can't help the French... it's my first language." He sighed heavily, flopping back then wincing with a groan at his broken arm. "He's not one to just injure someone. He aims to kill."

Lucas moved to stroke Sky's hair again. "Then I'll give as good as I get."

He reached up and took Lucas's hand, kissing the back gently. "But he'll kill you... I couldn't stand that. I'd... probably end up going crazy."

Lucas laced his fingers with Sky's. "He won't kill me, I'm stronger than I look. Even stronger with you by my side."

Sky looked at their hands, playing with each artistic finger curled around his own. "But I'm afraid..." He mumbled. He lifted his gaze to Lucas's face. "I stabbed him, three times."

"Then stay near me so I can protect you."

"I'm... his, though. I'm..." He sighed heavily, tears pricking his eyes. He was confused. He wanted to fight the title of 'pet' but he still wanted it as an excuse.

"You're no one's, you're your own person, no one can own you! Not Issack. Not me. No one."

"I'm just confused, Lucas. I've had thirteen years of being 'someone's'. It's hard, all of a sudden, to be 'no one's'." He looked up at Lucas, pouting a little.

"I know, it'll take time. So let me help you adjust. Don't push me away at the first sign of danger." He leaned in, kissing those pouty lips.

Sky kissed back then slipped his hand away from Lucas's and wrapped it around the man's neck. "I'm sorry," he whispered, looking into his lover's eyes.

Lucas held onto Sky, slipping his arms around the boy's waist. "No apologies. Just don't push me away, okay?"

"Okay." He nodded a little then gripped his journal. "Take me back to our cell." He smiled softly.

Lucas nodded and scooped Sky up in is arms, being careful not to knock the bo's injured arm.

"Ah!" He giggled, curling into Lucas. "I didn't mean..." He shook his head with another laugh, and then rested it on Lucas's shoulder.

Lucas smiled and kissed Sky's head. "I know, but this way I can make sure you don't run away."

He smiled and nuzzled Lucas's neck. "I wouldn't get far anyway. I'm all slowed down from the pain killers." He chuckled slightly then nibbled Lucas's earlobe as he was carried.

Lucas tried to fight back a purr, carrying Sky back to ther cell and laying him on the bottom bunk gently. "Home sweet home."

"Mm, I might sleep better now I'm here." He kept hold of Lucas. "And that you're here." He smiled cutely, tilting his head a little. "I'm sorry for pushing you away."

Lucas leaned in to steal a soft kiss. "You did what you thought was best. Now sleep, or I'll march you right back to the Infirmary."

"No you won't." He chuckled, smiling softly. He was certainly happier to be with Lucas. "I've been writing something." He rubbed at his arm a little.

"Oh?" Lucas shifted to snuggle Sky. "What did you write?"

"I've written some short stories. I'm in the middle of one, but I finished two. I want you to... read them. Would you?" He looked at Lucas, smiling softly.

Lucas nodded. "Sure, I'd love to!"
