Who: Sen & Lawr
When: Day
Where: Sen’s Cell
What: Lawr has news
Rating: PG-13
Sen sat in his cell, laid out on the top bunk reading a book. He had one hand hooked under his pillow, the other holding the book.
Lawr stopped in the 'doorway' of Sen's cell, "So I take it you haven't heard yet."
Sen lowered his book, looking over at Lawr. "Heard what?"
"Sword's been taken to solitary. There's talk about moving him to the fourth level."
"What? Why??" Sen sat up, closing the book.
"He just finished bashing two guys heads in at the gym."
Sen's stomach was doing somersaults. "The idiot..." He sighed. "What was he thinking? Who were they, what did they do?"
Lawr shrugged, "Dunno. I was just coming from the rec room when I heard it."
Sen pinched the bridge of his nose, moving to jump down from the bunk. "I guess I should investigate..."
"You won't be able to. The guards have blocked off the way to the gym."
Sen gave an annoyed growl. "They can't send him to level four... There are worse guys than him in here!"
Lawr shrugged, perhaps you should take it up with the warden," He smirked, "Or I could."
"The warden..." Sen shuddered at the thought. "I guess if it's the only way. I have little choice."
Lawr raised an eyebrow, "Not fond of him?"
"There's been some... things between us I'd sooner forget."
"Then let me go."
Sen looked at Lawr. "Why would you want to help us? What's in it for you?"
Lawr shrugged, "Alright. Fine, I won't help." He turned to go.
Sen let out a sigh. "I'm sorry. It's just... no one does anything for free around here."
Lawr stop and went back, "That's true."
"So... what do you want?" Sen asked, keeping his eyes on Lawr.
"I talk to Travis for you and you put in a good word with guards for me. Hopefully, the feed back will get back to Travis and I'll get what I want."
Sen nodded. "Seems fair. And what is it you want?"
"I need to get in the same cell as Adrian Clay. I'm the only one who can bring him back when he's having an episode. I've tried talking to travis about it, but he doesn't think it's necessary."
Sen nodded again. "I'll see what I can do."
"Good. And I'll see what I can do."
Sen let out a heavy sigh, running his hand through his hair.
"What?"
He shook his head, looking at Lawr. "Nothing. Just thinking."
"I see...."
"I just dunno what I'll do if he's moved to level four."
"Why not?"
"He's kinda my rock in this place. Gives me strength, you know?"
Lawr nodded, "I guess I do."
"I annoy the hell outta him and most the time he hates me. We fight all the time. But I dunno how I'd cope without him. The days would go so slow, the boredom would drive me insane."
