Sen sat in the chair beside Sword's bed, rubbing absently at the stitched gash on his arm. He was thankful to Damon for giving him a reason to stay, but it didn't make it hurt any less.
Sam stirred in his bed, blinking slowly as he woke. "Ow."
Sen's head snapped round to the sound of the voice. He blinked seeing the red head, he had forgotten Sam was in here as well. He got out of the chair and moved over to Sam's bed. "Hey, take it easy, don't strain yourself."
He tried pushing himself up, but stopped as a cutting pain shot thought him from his chest. "Fuck." he cursed, clenching his teeth. He looked down at Sen's arm, not having noticed Sword yet. "What -- happened`?"
Sen rubbed his arm. "This? It's nothing. I just needed an excuse to stay here... Sword... he... he..." Sen couldn't get the words out, more tears threatened to fall.
Sam blinked. "Sword? What’s wrong with him?" he frowned worried. He did not love Sword, but Sword was a good safe haven for the small redhead.
Sen glanced back at Sword's bed, the faint slow beep of the heart monitor still sounded, a small comfort to Sen. He turned back to Sam. "He tried to kill himself.. ODed..."
"What? Why the hell would he do that? " he tried to sit up again, and finally managed.
Sen dug the torn photo out of his jeans pocket. "I think it has something to do with this, but I'm not sure." He sighed heavy. "They don't know if he'll pull through."
He frowned. "Damn... he never hit me as a suicide type really."
"Me either." He shoved the picture back into his pocket. "He's the strongest person I know, nothing phases him... At least, that's what I thought..."
He nodded, looking down. "Fuck, if he dies, I’m really dead meat. I have no idea why the Romanian attacked me."
Sen gritted his teeth. "If he dies. We all die. Sword is the one person who could survive down here, if even he's not strong enough, what hope does anyone else have?" His cheeks were stained with tears.
Sam gazed at the other. "Don’t sound so melodramatic. its pathetic really. " Sam was not willing to be emotional much.
"You don't get it do you? What he means to me! I may mean nothing to him, but he's my everything. He took me in, gave me strength to fight. He's the only person I've ever loved!!"
"If you love him doesn’t mean we all will die if he do. I’m sorry I don’t really understand what you are going through. I’ve never loved"
Sen rubbed at his eyes. "Those bastards... they just left him there... If they'd fetched help earlier he'd probably be fine..."
"I’m sure he will be aright."
"I hope you're right."
"I always am." he smirked.
Sen wiped his eyes on the bandage. "Anyways... How're you doing?"
"Well.. It hurts to breathe and to sit, but I’ll survive. And I’m in a desperate need of colouring. " In the top of his head the blonde hair had began coming out.'
"Come see me when you get outta here, I'll fix it up."
"I’ll do that. I hate my blonde hair."
"Nothing wrong with blondes."
"I look horrible." he liked his blood coloured hair.
"Fine, I'll give you a colour and cut when you heal."
He smirked, content with this. "Thanks!!
Sen nodded a little. "Don't mention it."
"So, The Romanian, you know why he attacked me yet?"
Sen shook his head. "I don't think that guy needs a reason, he's a violent bastard."
"And they allow people like that?"
"It's prison, not a holiday retreat. Though, I'm surprised he hasn't been moved to level four."
"Level four?"
"It's where the more violent prisoners are usually sent - there's less freedom, they spend most of their time in the cells, there's no recreational time."
"Ooh. Sounds perfect for him."
"You should talk to the Warden about it when you heal up."
He nodded. "I’m gonna do so."
"And I don't really know how things will be now... if Sword pulls through, he might not be shut call anymore... So just be careful."
